Replace ‘gay’ with ‘nigger’ and you’ll see why it’s offensive. Make excuses if you want to, but it boils down to equating something negative or bad with something that a person is and cannot help.
It’s wrong. And just because it’s accepted, doesn’t mean it’s not. Nigger used to be acceptable too, remember?
I Visited a Different Office for Work this Morning
I used to work out of this office but haven’t been back for 6 months or more. I went to the reception desk because I was having a technician come by to do some work.
Me: Good Morning
Receptionist: Good morning. Wow, I almost didn’t recognize you.
Me: Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve been here. All the construction is done and everything looks difference now.
