I Visited a Different Office for Work this Morning

I used to work out of this office but haven’t been back for 6 months or more. I went to the reception desk because I was having a technician come by to do some work.

Me: Good Morning

Receptionist: Good morning. Wow, I almost didn’t recognize you.

Me: Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve been here. All the construction is done and everything looks difference now.

Receptionist: You look different.

Me: Uh…well, I guess I’ll take that as a compliment. I’ll take whatever I can get. *smile*

Receptionist: … *blank stare*

WTF? I’m probably reading too much into this. Not sure if she meant it as a compliment or not. I’m in need of a haircut but I don’t look homeless or anything. My clothes are pressed and clean. I have lost about 40 pounds since I’ve been there so she could have been referring to that. I have no idea. This was just awkward for me.
